Wedding Cut

The review-cut assembly that eats a wedding videographer's evening, done in minutes. One hated ritual, one tool — a panel inside Adobe Premiere Pro.

What it does

Every wedding is followed by the same evening: a project panel full of clips named C0001.MP4, C0002.MP4…, a music track that needs a marker on every beat so the highlight can cut to them, and a highlight sequence to assemble by hand before any real editing can start. Wedding Cut does each of those jobs in one click:

  1. Set the tempo. Tap along with the music while it plays, or simply type the BPM you already know.
  2. Lay the grid. Park the playhead where the music starts and click: markers land on every beat or every bar to the end of the sequence, named beat 1, 2, 3… One undo removes them all.
  3. Rename the batch. Select the clips, type the event and camera, and C0001.MP4 becomes CEREMONY-CAM1-001, -002, -003… in your click order, file extensions kept.
  4. Build the highlight starter. Select the renamed clips plus the music track, and a new sequence appears with the clips in story order on V1 and the music from 00:00 on A2.

Then you do the only part worth doing: choosing the moments and cutting to the beats.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't edit for you. It doesn't pick your shots, trim your takes, or make any creative decision — the cut is yours. The setup that used to eat the evening is not.

There's no account to create, nothing to log into, and no cloud. The panel runs inside Premiere on your machine, and that is its whole footprint.

Where to get it

Honest status: the plugin is built and pending Adobe's marketplace review — launching soon. It is not yet installable. When it's approved it installs from the Creative Cloud Marketplace like any plugin, straight into Premiere Pro.

Your project, in plain words

The panel reads your open project — the sequence you're in and the clips you select — and changes exactly what you asked it to change: markers, clip names, or one new sequence. Every change is a single undo. It makes no network calls and sends nothing anywhere: your footage and your project stay on your machine.
